What Does It Do?

How Does HCA Work?

HCA (Hydroxycitric Acid) works by inhibiting an enzyme called citrate lyase. This enzyme tells your body to convert glucose (sugar, carbs) into fat to store for energy at a later time. HCA blocks this enzyme so that glucose is immediately used by your body for energy, resulting in less fat being stored, and more energy being created to help you burn calories.

How Much HCA Do I Need?

Key recommendations in the research point to a minimum of 50% HCA being important to achieve the results most people are looking for. Doctors advise a regimen of 1,500mg of HCA per day for fat loss and cholesterol reduction. One serving of femMED Garcinia Cambogia (3 capsules) is 1,500mg.

Food intake, total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides and serum leptin levels were significantly reduced, while HDL and serotonin levels, and excretion of urinary fat metabolites (a biomarker of fat oxidation) significantly increased. No significant adverse effects were reported. These results demonstrate the safety, bioavailability and efficacy of HCA-SX in weight management.”
